Bio & Values
People often describe me as a pragmatic, curious leader who isn't afraid to challenge the status quo. I love asking questions, exploring possibilities and encourage looking for better ways of solving problems.
Beyond the screen
Born in India, raised in New Zealand, and having started my career in Australia, I now call London home. I think of myself as a global citizen, as every place I've lived has left its mark on who I am.
When I need to escape the screen, you'll usually find me painting, illustrating or trying my hand at pottery often inspired by my Indian roots. I also love to travel, hike and spend time by the ocean and true to my Kiwi and Aussie side - I take my coffee very seriously.
How I Lead
I aim to instill curiosity in the designers I lead, helping them ask better questions and adapt with confidence as the problems we're trying to solve keep changing with AI. The best solutions come from understanding people, systems and challenges deeply before jumping to answers.
Experience
Over the past 10+ years, I've worked across financial services and retail digital products in New Zealand, Australia and the UK.
Working in finance has taught me how to navigate ambiguity, regulation and competing priorities.
MY PILLARS
Understand the business model
Know how it makes money.
Design decisions are better when you understand how the business succeeds.
Systems thinking
Design beyond the feature.
Good design accounts for the whole system, not just the surface someone interacts with.
Outcome focused
Progress over perfection.
Ship, learn, iterate. Products get better through real feedback loops.
Influence beats authority
Build confident teams.
Create an environment where people feel trusted, challenged and supported to do their best work.
Curiosity first
Ask better questions.
Curiosity uncovers opportunities that solutions alone can't.
